Welcome to Positively Pat

 I believe that everything happens for a reason, as cliché as that may sound.  It’s kind of hard to swallow, I know, when what’s happening is painful or just plain stinks. Sure, it’s great to say that you will find blessings even in the most difficult of situations.  In theory, that sounds great. However, in practice, when you’re overwhelmed by the problem(s)….not so easy. 

I hope this on-line community provides you with an infusion of joy and peace, no matter what you’re going through.  I hope it also connects you to a community of link-minded friends. 

I’ll share my own healing breast cancer journey with you and how I was able to find joy, gifts, blessings and even fun – in the midst of breast cancer, a double mastectomy, one year of chemotherapy (Sacred Juice), four surgeries and more.

You’ll meet some pretty spectacular folks who will join in the conversation, giving you their personal take on life and the roller coaster that we seem to be on, whether we consciously bought the ticket or not.

From time to time, you’ll also meet some really cool people and experts in their field  who will share health and wellness tips and information as well as important medical breakthroughs and spiritual insights: some traditional ones…some not. 

You’ll also get to meet my fabulous Link of Hope Sistas: a group of courageous women who support one another and others who are going through their own healing journeys. 

If we use our experiences to help others and be of service, even better.  Karma will bring to you, whatever you put out.  So be of service, give of yourself with compassion and kindness.  You will be rewarded in many ways.

My dance with cancer brought me closer to peace than anything ever has. I am not the same person I was before my diagnosis and I am grateful for that. I now savor every moment of every day and make the time to have fun and play. I stop and enjoy life and live with a deep sense of purpose: to give, serve and use what I’ve learned to make a difference in the lives of others.

We have choices in life. We can’t always control the events that take place – but we CAN control how we respond and what we do from that moment on.

For me it was cancer. For you it might be the death of a loved one, the economy, work stresses, a divorce, financial worries or other issues that are getting you down. We all have the power to “flip the switch” and respond in an empowering way to overcome our challenges and live a better life. 

Welcome to your new online community. I hope this site, at the very least, gives you some inspiration and the desire to prove yourself more powerful than the opposing force. I hope you come back often and enjoy what you find on these pages.

NOTE:  None of these new projects would be possible without the volunteer support of many, many angels.  Some of them I’ve known for years, others, I haven’t even met in person.
